The FastTrac TechVenture program connects entrepreneurs to the best resources available to help them pursue and realize their dreams. This 10-week learning program provides participants with business insights, strategic guidance, professional networking opportunities and other resources to help start a new business or expand on an existing enterprise. A typical FastTrac session includes facilitated discussions and activities, small peer groups, a guest speaker and coaching sessions.
Created by Kansas City-based Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation, the largest organization in the nation solely focused on entrepreneurial success at all levels, FastTrac has had nearly 300,000 entrepreneurs over the last 16 years participate in this certified program. The Entrepreneur Center @NVTC received its FastTrac certification in April 2009.
“Despite passion, drive and an abundance of good ideas, half of all new businesses fail within the first few years. Often that’s because, entrepreneurs lack the experience and tools required for starting and running a business,” said Kristin D’Amore, Director, The Entrepreneur Center @NVTC. “The FastTrac TechVenture program will give our technology community another tool to realize their dreams of starting and running a successful business. Northern Virginia has a strong reputation of innovation and leadership in the technology industry, and this program will continue with that tradition.”
Applications are now being accepted for the September program through August 14. Those interested in submitting an application as well as learning more about the FastTrac program can visit www.nvtc.org/tec/fasttrac.php
