Fox Electronics Expands Miniature 2.5 V XpressO VCXOs with LVPECL Version
Posted on: Monday, 17 August 2009, 09:48 CDT
FORT MYERS, Fla., Aug. 17 /PRNewswire/ -- Fox Electronics, a leading global supplier of frequency control solutions, has expanded its XpressO oscillator series to include a 2.5 V LVPECL VCXO version in a 5.0 mm x 3.2 mm package size, one of the industry's smallest, with a frequency range from 0.75 MHz through 1.0 GHz.
The new FVXO-PC52 oscillators are ideal for use in SONET, 10GbE, Fibre Channel, wireless repeaters, transponders, HDTV, FPGAs, data acquisition, and military communications.
The cost-effective Fox XpressO oscillator series is a breakthrough in configurable frequency control solutions. These oscillators and VCXOs utilize a family of proprietary application specific integrated circuits (ASICs), designed and developed by Fox, with a key focus on noise reduction technologies as well as significantly lower levels of jitter.
The FVXO-PC52 oscillators employ a third order Delta Sigma Modulator (DSM) to reduce noise to levels comparable to traditional bulk quartz and SAW oscillators. The state-of-the-art technology utilized in these oscillators enables the optimum selection of the output type, input voltages and temperature performance features.
The LVPECL VCXO versions offer shorter lead times and are guaranteed to be shipped within 24 hours for samples and within 10 days maximum for production quantities.
The LVPECL VCXOs offer a frequency resolution to six decimal places, an absolute pull range (APR) of plus or minus 50 ppm and operating temperatures of -20 degrees C to +70 degrees C or -40 degrees C to +85 degrees C.
These oscillators feature miniature 5 mm x 3.2 mm packaging, including industry standard footprint and pin-out; are fully RoHS compliant; have a tri-state enable/disable feature; and are constructed with a gold over nickel termination finish. In addition, this series offers Fox's patented serial identification system with comprehensive traceability to ensure quality control. All finished XpressO parts are 100% final tested.
Pricing for a FVXO-PC52B XpressO VCXO Oscillator at 250 MHz in quantities of 1,000 is $3.16. Delivery is next day for samples and 10 days for volume production.
