Triumfant Resolution Manager Receives Renewed NIST Security Content Automation Protocol (SCAP) Validation
ROCKVILLE, Md., Aug. 19 /PRNewswire/ — Triumfant(R), creator of patent-pending software that automatically discovers, analyzes and remediates unexpected changes and conditions at the endpoint, announced today that Triumfant Resolution Manager(TM) has successfully renewed its National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Security Content Automation Protocol (SCAP) validation in accordance with the Office of Management and Budget’s Federal Desktop Core Configuration (FDCC) security mandate for all federal agencies.
“Triumfant is extremely pleased to extend the NIST SCAP validation for Triumfant Resolution Manager,” stated John Prisco, CEO, Triumfant. “We believe that Triumfant is unique in its ability to help government agencies meet their compliance objectives with less ongoing operational costs by enforcing continuous compliance with minimal human intervention. Triumfant Resolution Manager’s capability to maintain every endpoint and server in an audit-ready state is unsurpassed in the industry.”
Triumfant provides a full set of FDCC compliant policies out-of-the-box and Triumfant Resolution Manager is the only NIST SCAP validated tool that uses granular change detection to identify when an endpoint or server is out of compliance and synthesize a situational remediation to return the machine to a compliant state. Triumfant Resolution Manager is one of a very few tools validated for Misconfiguration Remediation and is the only validated tool that has fully automated the creation of remediations. Other tools use pre-written remediations which must be continually updated and distributed, or require that remediation scripts be written by hand. By automating the process, Triumfant speeds the process from discovery to repair and eliminates support costs. In addition, Triumfant provides comprehensive and actionable reporting from machine-level detail to executive-level summaries, creating evidence of compliance to minimize the effort required to satisfy reporting requirements and facilitate management on an ongoing basis.
Triumfant also recently announced that federal agencies can purchase annual licenses for Triumfant’s FDCC Compliance solution for $5 per endpoint computer through September 30, 2009, representing a significant discount to Triumfant’s list price. Triumfant is further extending the value to federal agencies by bundling Triumfant’s Green IT Power Management solution with the FDCC Compliance solution for an additional $2 per machine. The solutions share the same Triumfant Resolution Manager architecture so there is no additional software to install to use both solutions, and everything is administered under one console. Combining the two solutions means that the money saved by implementing power management will pay for both solutions in less than six months – using even the most conservative estimates.
Triumfant(R) leverages a one-of-a-kind ability to discover, diagnose and repair unwanted changes to endpoint computers and servers to create compelling solutions for endpoint security, compliance and configuration management, and incident and problem management. These solutions, powered by the Triumfant Resolution Manager(TM) platform, enable businesses and government agencies to reduce IT support costs, minimize security risks, enforce continuous compliance and increase quality of service.
