AMSTERDAM - IBC 2009, September 11 /PRNewswire/ --

IBC 2009

IPTV Zone, Stand 741

Signiant(R), Inc., the leading developer of content distribution management solutions, today announced the latest members of the Signiant Integration Product Program (SIPP), which is dedicated to providing additional services, functionality and resources to Signiant customers. iPharro, a world leader in video content identification technology, has created a Connector for Signiant workflows that enables companies along every step of the media value chain to identify, manage and monetize media content. Atex, a leading supplier of software systems and services to the media industry, will integrate its Polopoly Web Content Management and Publishing platform with Signiant to facilitate automated Web content movement.

SIPP makes it easy and cost-effective for customers to install the latest technology components, from quality control applications to media management solutions, at any point in the workflow, thanks to the open architecture of Signiant's Content Distribution Management (CDM) software. SIPP includes technologies from companies such as Avid, Civolution, SmartJog, Interra Systems, STRATACACHE, Grab Networks, Rhozet, Open Text and EMC Atmos. Customers can view all of the available Connectors, with videos on how to use them, at Signiant's SIPP website.

iPharro technology uses a highly sophisticated video fingerprinting algorithm to identify video content from any source, such as TV, Internet or even pre-existing archives, with unparalleled accuracy. The iPharro solution can be used for a variety of tasks, such as enabling media organisations to pinpoint the exact time, channel and version of any commercial that appears on TV; analyzing which segments of broadcast content have been used and how often; or ensuring that specific content has been transmitted correctly.

Atex's Polopoly Web Content Management and Publishing platform will be integrated with Signiant for automated Web content movement. With Polopoly, users can seamlessly publish Web content using Signiant to manage the underlying workflow to publish the proper content, in the correct format, to the correct locations throughout the world. Some of the most high-traffic websites in Europe have their roots in the Polopoly platform.

"We are delighted to see SIPP membership growing so fast," said Rick Clarkson, senior director, Product Management, Signiant. "Companies like iPharro and Atex provide Signiant customers with significant additional functionality in a cost effective and simple way, utilizing leading edge technology to customize their workflows to their specific needs. We look forward to welcoming more SIPP members in the coming months."
