K-12 High Speed Network and Verizon to Unveil on Sept. 17 Professional-Development Program for California Teachers, Online Resources for Students

LOS ANGELES and SACRAMENTO, Calif., Sept. 16 /PRNewswire/ -- The California K-12 High Speed Network (K12HSN), a state-funded education program, and Verizon will hold simultaneous events in Los Angeles and Sacramento on Thursday (Sept. 17) to unveil a new initiative to provide free online resources for California teachers. The new program will build upon Verizon's existing online educational resource - Thinkfinity.org - and allow educators to enhance their classroom instruction with lesson plans, interactive activities and other online resources.
