CYPRESS, Calif., Sept. 22 /PRNewswire/ -- Continental DataGraphics (CDG), a Boeing Company, was recently awarded a three year contract by the Los Angeles Superior Court (LASC) for scanning and conversion of all traffic citations issued in Los Angeles County into digital files.
LASC serves the 9.5 million citizens of Los Angeles County with courtrooms spread throughout the 4,000 square mile County - from Pomona to Santa Monica and from Lancaster to Long Beach. Law enforcement officers in the LASC district issue over 8,000 traffic citations on a daily basis. The citations are in a paper format, making it difficult for court administrators and law enforcement officials to easily retrieve vital information related to these citations.
In its digitization process, CDG scans and indexes the traffic citations and supporting documents in a highly secure environment and transfers the files to the LASC's secure intranet site, making them easily accessible to authorized personnel. CDG provides daily courier pick up services for the citations, scans and indexes the citations, and delivers the files back to the County within a 24 hour timeframe.
"We're very pleased to be able to continue to provide these vital services to Los Angeles Superior Court to help them improve their processes and run more efficiently," said David Malmo, President and CEO of CDG. "We know that strong security measures and protection of sensitive information were extremely important factors in this contract award decision. CDG is committed to assuring that our stringent security measures will provide the County with sufficient confidence that this data will be protected."
CDG also provides digital imaging and indexing services for various records in the Juvenile Traffic Division of the Court. CDG has provided these services to LASC since 2002; this is the second award of this contract to CDG.
