Coupon Web Site Saves Families 14 Million Dollars on Groceries

HOUSTON, Sept. 22 /PRNewswire/ -- One of the largest couponing Web sites, AFullCup.com, announces that members' grocery store savings have topped $14 million. AFullCup.com (affectionately known as AFC) lets members search their database of thousands of grocery coupons for the products they need most.
During these tough economic times, more families are clipping coupons to save money on groceries. One AFC member, Micael Givens, reports that the site has helped save her family over $4,000 since March of this year.
"Members share their total year-to-date savings on their profiles like it's a competition," says Lynsey Hart, an AFC administrator. "They are excited to come home with $500 worth of groceries and only have paid $50. Members regularly save over 80% on their grocery bill with coupons they find through the Web site."
Another AFC member named Jody -- Couponclipper003 on the site -- shares her story as another example of potential consumer savings through couponing. "One of [the] best shopping trips was at Walmart," says Jody. "[Using coupons the bill came to] $35 for $123 worth of groceries and household items."
AFullCup.com members can search through thousands of coupons available from newspapers, magazines, stores, and the Web. Members can also buy, sell, trade, and even auction off coupons with other members across the country. Using the "Store Shopping List" feature on the Web site, members then match their coupons with products that are on sale each week at their favorite stores to save even more money.
