Posted on: Thursday, 24 September 2009, 11:39 CDT

BOULDER, Colo., Sept. 24 /PRNewswire/ -- Culinary Software Services, the leading provider of back-of-the-house technology for the foodservice industry, announced that the Pelican Bay Foundation of Naples, FL has chosen CorTec to help manage their centralized purchasing and receiving system.

Pelican Bay is a private community located just north of Naples, FL. The Foundation manages the community that includes residential condominiums, three premier hotels, shopping areas, plus a 570 acre conservation area and over 40 acres of parks and trails. Visit www.pelicanbay.org for more information.

The Foundation will implement CorTec to manage inventory control, purchasing, and requisitions and transfers at their central warehouse. The community is home to four restaurants plus various other foodservice venues, all of which receive product from the central receiving center. CorTec will be used along with ChefTec Mobile for ordering and inventory control, and ChefTec Ultra's seamless EDI Interface with Sysco Foods. This EDI Interface will allow Pelican Bay's food & beverage management to update pricing, place orders and download invoices directly into their CorTec system, without data entry.

"We are excited to partner with the Pelican Bay Foundation staff to be a part of the solution for better communication and control," commented Bryan Counts, Special Projects Manager for Culinary Software Services. "Controlling the controllables, that is what CorTec and ChefTec are all about. Pelican Bay is going to see immediate improvements in efficiencies for ordering, tracking their inventory, and their requisition and transfers process."
