mygofer(TM) to Help Make Joliet Better

September 30, 2009

JOLIET, Ill., Sept. 30 /PRNewswire/ — In May 2009, mygofer(TM) emerged as a new generation of shopping, making shopping better and life easier by offering its customers the benefits of online shopping, paired with the convenience of a storefront. Now, mygofer is taking things to the next level. By giving back to its new neighborhood mygofer wants to contribute to making Joliet a better place to live.

Whether it’s painting over graffiti on a busy street or planting gardens to improve the town’s appearance, the retailer is announcing “Making it Better,” a program donating up to $10,000 to execute an idea that is relevant to the Joliet community.

Beginning today through Oct. 23, mygofer will be encouraging local residents to submit ideas to improve the Joliet community and then cast their vote for the best idea by visiting mygofer.com/makingitbetter. The mygofer team will consider all of the submissions and will then choose one of them. The winning idea will be announced on November 1. The execution of the community project will take place shortly afterwards.

“mygofer has been welcomed with open arms in the town of Joliet and we feel that we have a great home here,” said Greg Kosobudzki, mygofer store manager. “mygofer is all about making life easier and by connecting directly with our customers, we can help make the city a better place by undertaking a project that matters to them.”

Given the wide array of ideas that mygofer is anticipating from the residents of Joliet, the retailer is prepared to execute appropriate potential community rebuilding projects by partnering with Rebuilding Together, one of the nation’s leading non-profit organizations working to preserve affordable homeownership and revitalize communities.

“mygofer listens to our customers about their shopping needs and now we want to listen to how we can make Joliet a better place,” adds Kosobudzki. “We’re very excited about this new project and look forward to developing an even deeper connection with the Joliet community.”

At mygofer, Joliet area customers may choose to order their goods on www.mygofer.com, by phone 1- 877-mygofer (1-877-694-6337), or at the terminals in our store lobby, and then select when they’d like to receive their merchandise – now (within minutes), today (within hours) or later (within days).
