Chelsio Unified Wire Named High Speed 10Gb Ethernet Interconnect for IBM Power Systems

SUNNYVALE, Calif., Oct. 5 /PRNewswire/ -- Chelsio Communications, Inc., the leading provider of 10-Gigabit Ethernet (10GbE) adapters and ASIC solutions, today announced its high performance Unified Wire 10GbE adapter cards will serve as the PCI-Express 10GbE interconnect for the IBM Power System server platforms.

Chelsio Unified Wire adapters are the highest performance 10GbE adapters for storage, server and cluster networking. The adapters for use with the IBM Power Systems include the low profile S310e-SR+ optical and S310e-CXA CX4 copper adapters. The adapters operate as a 10GbE NIC for Linux, AIX and i platforms, and concurrently as iSCSI and iWARP adapters as well on Linux platforms. All the products are generally available from IBM on all POWER6 platforms as the default 10GbE option card.
