Posted on: Wednesday, 7 October 2009, 08:05 CDT

BOSTON, Oct. 7 /PRNewswire/ -- Shoebuy.com (www.shoebuy.com), one of the largest retailers of footwear, accessories and related apparel on the Internet and an operating business of IAC (NASDAQ: IACI), is extending its experience creating, managing and marketing e-tail destinations with shopping sites for Bruno Magli and Superga, which now brings a total of eight sites built for brand clients. While Shoebuy.com offers a selection of products from more than 850 brands on its own site, the sites, http://Shop.BrunoMagli.com and http://www.superga-usa.com, give both brands their first independent e-commerce platform and presence.

In addition to designing, operating and hosting the brands' e-commerce sites, Shoebuy.com is also leveraging its expertise in delivering a first-class consumer experience by managing customer service, analytics, returns and marketing for both companies' sites. As brands and retailers gear up for the early holiday shopping season, this is a key initiative as online sales across retail channels are expected to grow nearly four percent this holiday season according to industry reports.

"Shoebuy.com has built strong relationships with our brand partners through consistently performing as one of their fastest-growing distribution channels and by listening to their needs," said Scott Savitz, Founder and CEO of Shoebuy.com. "As such, we are now applying our successful business model to manage e-commerce for several of our brand partners, a full-service turnkey solution we can provide with very little administrative or infrastructure investment for the brands."

"We are proud to have built Shoebuy.com into one of the most successful online retailers on the Web and are excited about leveraging our expertise in this way to bring even greater value to the brands we work with," added Bill Pryor, COO of Shoebuy.com. "We expect this to continue to be a great growth area for us and our brand partners over the next several years."

Shop.BrunoMagli.com features more than 250 products ranging from approximately $80 to over $1,000 for men and women, including shoes, bags and outerwear. Shopping benefits offered on the site include top of the line images with multiple views and angles, product notifications alerting customers when new styles are available, a wish list, gift certificate functionality and easy checkout with multiple payment options.

"Shoebuy has been a great fit for us as a company who previously had no web experience and needed to get online quickly," said Greg Tunney, CEO of R.G. Barry Corporation, the North American licensee for Superga. "Their e-commerce expertise and straightforward design sensibility has helped us launch Superga in the United States, and met our needs for a transactional B2C presence. Shoebuy.com is a proven e-tail destination both in terms of inventory management and delivering on customer service."

About Bruno Magli

Bruno Magli was founded in Bologna, Italy in the 1930s when three siblings, Marino, Maria and Bruno Magli were taught the art of shoemaking by their grandfather in a small basement. In 1936, the siblings transformed their basement factory into a small business, otherwise known as The Magli Shoe Factory (Calzaturifico Magli). Propelled by the "Made in Italy" craze, Bruno Magli quickly became a leader in design, fabrication and commercialization of high-quality fashion shoes and became a major competitor in the Italian footwear market.

In 1968, headed by the second generation of the Magli family, Bruno Magli moved to its current headquarters in Bologna at via Larga 33. Bruno Magli has since successfully maintained its position as a leader in the footwear industry by retaining the traditional values that have made it the prestigious Italian luxury brand since the 1930s.

About Superga

In 1913, Walter Martiny began producing rubber-soled footwear branded with the Superga logo in Torino, Italy. By 1925, his designs expanded to include vulcanized rubber soles and the Superga 2750 Heritage style was born! In the 1970s while sales of the 2750 continued to grow, Superga diversified the collection again by adding sport shoes containing a wide range of technical attributes. These include Superga City Leather, plus the Superga Country Vulcanized and Sport lines. The 2750 Heritage style has been an icon from the beginning and has since been named "Torino" in honor of Superga's birthplace. This renaming also recognizes Walter Martiny's achievement of his original 1913 vision: To design and produce the highest quality footwear, in timeless classic styles, for the entire family.

Today, Superga continues to celebrate the relaxed, carefree lifestyle of the 2750 by offering a wide range of colors, fabrics and prints each season for women, men and bambini. Superga keeps the bestselling canvas, linen and leather collections in stock all year. Plus, look out for original, Italian prints every season.
