Suspect Detection Systems Inc. Sells Additional Cogito Interrogation Units to Federal Agency in Latin America
Posted on: Monday, 12 October 2009, 06:00 CDT
This is the second sale to the same federal agency in the past year. The units are expected to be installed in the coming weeks. Additional sales to this agency are expected in 2010.
The interrogation units are being used by police forces to identify criminal suspects involved in kidnapping, murder and drug trafficking, as well as to expose suspects' associations with various cartels operating in the region. Cogito is being used to solve crimes that have already taken place, as well as during routine arrests and questionings in the field.
"This repeat sale displays the value of our crime and terror fighting
system to federal agencies," stated
"This sale represents a major milestone in our business strategy, to steadily penetrate security markets and advance towards additional sales once Cogito's value has been proven in the field," Shoval added.
Cogito is an automated interrogation system used to detect the hostile intent of suspected criminals and terrorists. The system has multiple applications, and is particularly useful for interrogating individuals suspected of committing crimes or being involved with organized crime rings. The system is also utilized for pre-employment and employee screening, fraud prevention, and military intelligence collection. Cogito can easily be deployed to detect terrorists or smugglers at checkpoints and border crossings, and even within war zones.
