Fortify Software Names Kelly Collins President of Public Sector

SAN MATEO, Calif., Oct. 13 /PRNewswire/ -- Fortify Software, the market leader in Software Security Assurance solutions, has named Kelly Collins to lead Public Sector operations. Her mission will be to greatly expand market penetration for Fortify's flagship products that assure software security from development to production environments. Collins will work closely with public officials to raise awareness for the cyber security risk that results from vulnerable software and the critical need for expanded policy to protect to government systems from cyber attack.

Collins was most recently the President of Federal Operations for SAS Institute. She was hired to balance their Federal portfolio by creating more demand in the Defense and Intelligence Community for advanced analytics products while maintaining their strong position in the Civilian government market.

Prior to SAS Institute she served as the General Manager & Vice President, Public Sector for BEA Government Systems, Inc. During her tenure, Global Government became the fastest growing vertical segment and the number three revenue generator behind Financial and Telecom. Previously, she was Vice President, Government and Homeland Security for General Electric's Security Division, focusing primarily on Explosive Detection and Bio-Threat Detection systems for government clients. Collins holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management & Information Systems from Rochester Institute of Technology.
