Rogers Cable Launches the Big Ten Network Available Now in Free Preview

TORONTO, Oct. 21 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ - Rogers Cable today announced the addition of more sporting events to its Sports Theme Pak with the launch of the Big Ten Network available in High Definition (HD) and Standard Definition (SD). Now available in free preview until January 14, 2010, the Big Ten Network offers unparalleled coverage of the Big Ten Conference with hundreds of live college sports events, offering approximately 35 football games; 105 regular season men's basketball games; and 55 women's basketball games each year.(1)

The Big Ten Network joins Raptors NBA TV, Leafs TV, CBS College Sports, ESPN Classics Canada and The Golf Channel as some of the channels included in the Sports Theme Pak which also offers HD customers up to four additional HD channels at no additional cost.

The Super Sports Pak includes NFL Sunday Ticket, NHL Centre Ice, OHL Action Pak, NBA League Pass only on Rogers, MLB Extra Innings, NASCAR Hotpass, and NCAA football and basketball and brings selected games in HD every day. Rogers Super Sports Pak subscribers also get free access to NHL Game Centre Live for the entire 2009/2010 season, which allows customers to watch live streaming games, access archived games and obtain real-time stats online.
