BALTIMORE, Nov. 3 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Verticy Learning is pleased to announce the launch of a new Web site designed to better inform and serve parents of children who struggle with reading and writing or who have been diagnosed with a language-based learning difference (LLD) such as dyslexia. The new Web site offers links to valuable resources about LLDs and to information about the innovative Verticy Learning program.
Verticy Learning is the first comprehensive home school program designed to address the needs of struggling readers and writers. Parents use proven Orton-Gillingham multi-sensory learning methods in order to deliver a time-tested curriculum for third through eighth grades -- critical years in the development of young readers. Verticy Learning is also used by public school systems throughout the United States as a distance learning or supplemental curriculum solution for students with LLDs.
Verticy Learning allows educators and parents to employ Orton-Gillingham teaching strategies without undergoing hundreds of hours of specialized training by including detailed daily lesson plans, demonstrated teaching techniques, and learning specialist support.
The newly designed Web site also features:
- An easy to understand Course Configurator to help parents choose the levels of instruction most appropriate for their child
- Embedded videos that feature program leaders and developers talking about Verticy Learning
- A virtual "book fair" featuring selections from all Verticy Learning curriculum materials for browsing
