Psion Teklogix to Pre-Load Stay-Linked Terminal Emulation
CINCINNATI, Nov. 4 /PRNewswire/ — Psion Teklogix, Inc. (LSE: PON.L), a global provider of mobile computing solutions, today announced they will begin shipping their rugged mobile computers as “Stay-Linked Ready(TM)” with Stay-Linked Corporation client software pre-loaded, the industry leader in host-based, thin-client wireless terminal emulation, session persistence and terminal management.
When connected to Stay-Linked server software (included with the purchase of user licenses), Psion Teklogix users will enjoy the full range of unique benefits enabled by Stay-Linked’s award-winning design.
With Stay-Linked, wireless terminal device users connecting to 5250/3270, VT100/220 and SSHv2 host systems experience the highest level of performance, connection/session reliability and data security when compared to all other products available today. Centralized IT/Help Desk staff benefit from the included Stay-Linked Administrator GUI Console application that provides total visibility and control of all Stay-Linked connected terminal emulation user sessions, wireless terminal devices, and configuration settings.
“Psion Teklogix is a recognized leader in the rugged mobile computer industry and we are very pleased that they are now an active member of our growing Stay-Linked Ready program for device manufacturers,” said David Griffith, President of Stay-Linked. “Companies who purchase Stay-Linked licenses with Psion Teklogix devices are now able to take immediate advantage of Stay-Linked’s unique productivity-enhancing capabilities right out of the box.”
“Psion Teklogix ensures our customers receive maximum value from our solutions, ultimately maximizing our customer’s Return on Mobility,” said Dave Peddemors Vice President North America Sales at Psion Teklogix. “Our partnership with Stay-Linked Corporation will provide our customers unique access to their terminal emulation applications both inside and outside the four walls.”
Stay-Linked software will be pre-loaded on current Psion Teklogix’s ruggedized mobile computers including the WORKABOUT PRO, 7535, 7530, 8515, 8525, NEO and more.
Built specifically for the wireless world, Stay-Linked debuted in 2002 as the best-in-class terminal emulator, and the first to feature a thin client design — a marked difference from existing device-side technologies that evolved, and suffer from, the wired terminal TCP/IP model. Utilizing the proprietary UDP-based Client2Host(TM) architecture, Stay-Linked was the first host-based terminal emulator; the first to provide true software-only session persistence; the first to manage and store the emulation settings on the host system; and the first to provide a GUI Administrator console for emulation configuration, session control, and terminal management. Stay-Linked is headquartered in Tustin, California. Find out more about Stay-Linked on the web (www.Stay-Linked.com), on our blog (blog.Stay-Linked.com), and on Twitter (twitter.com/staylinked).
