SAO PAULO, Nov. 26 /PRNewswire/ -- Frost & Sullivan will honor industry leaders for their exceptional annual performance at the 2009 Best Practices Excellence Banquet in Latin America. The evening gala will be held on Thursday, December 3, 2009 at Grand Hyatt Hotel, in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

The Awards Banquet will prize industries from a broad spectrum of markets and countries in the region, placing industry leaders in the spotlight. Over 30 awards will be bestowed across strategic sectors of the market: Telecom Services, Information Technologies, Enterprise Communications, Chemicals & Environment, Industrial Process Control and Generation Transmission & Distribution, and Healthcare.

The short-listed and award winner companies are selected through the ongoing and thorough research and tracking of the multiple markets - similar to the methodology followed in the development of our Latin America research and subscriptions - conducted by Frost & Sullivan's industry analyst team, that gathers great experience in the Latin America market and provides a deep comprehension of the moves and trends in each of the awarded sectors.

"During challenging times, it's crucial for every company to implement the best strategies that will let them maintain growth rates and market positioning," notes Marcelo Ruiz, Research Manager at Frost & Sullivan Latin America. "Despite the difference between markets and segments dynamics, innovative strategies and best practices are the common factor of every successful business."

"Frost & Sullivan Best Practices Awards recognise companies in a variety of regional and global markets for demonstrating outstanding achievement and superior performance in areas such as leadership, technological innovation, customer service, and strategic product development," says Frost & Sullivan Best Practices Consultant Igor Carvalho. "Industry analysts evaluate and compare market participants and measure performance through in-depth interviews, analysis, and extensive secondary research in order to identify best practices in the industry."

This is how the gala event brings together senior representatives from outstanding companies across different market sectors, and thus represents a unique opportunity for award winners to network and share executive insight from corporate growth visionaries.

The Award Banquet will also be highlighted by the presentation of the Frost & Sullivan Lifetime Achievement Award that will be given to an individual that has made significant and lasting impressions in the Latin American markets, and by the CEO and Entrepreneur Of the Year Awards.

The 2009 Latin America Best Practices Excellence Banquet is supported by America Economia, Information Week Brasil, Saude Business, CRN Brasil, Financial Report, Business News Americas, Contact Centers, Enlace Media Group and TeleSemana as media partners.
