FOSTER CITY, Calif., Dec. 3 /PRNewswire/ — E2open, the leading provider of on-demand multi-enterprise demand-supply network solutions, today announced that it has been positioned in the Leaders Quadrant in Gartner’s 2009 Magic Quadrant for Integration Service Providers.(1)

“E2open is a pioneer in leveraging the power of the Internet to simplify B2B integration,” said Mark Woodward, president and CEO at E2open. “With Business Process Networks (BPN), we are raising the bar with prepackaged integration to critical enterprise applications in the context of key multi-enterprise business processes. Our clients benefit from rapid, error-free, cost effective demand-supply network integration through seamless connectivity. I am honored that E2open was named a leader in the Gartner Magic Quadrant.”

Current market forces continue to drive demand for international sourcing and distribution opportunities, making business execution and corporate risk management more complex than ever. As a result, reliable B2B integration and business process networks are increasingly becoming critical factors for driving and maintaining profitability. Gartner estimated that companies worldwide spent more than $1.5 billion on integration-as-a-service (IaaS) and B2B integration outsourcing last year, and expects to see continued growth in this market.

Gartner evaluated many vendors before selecting 17 providers offering B2B integration services to automate the execution of multi-enterprise processes. Vendors were rated on a number of criteria, including secure communications, community management, integration services, application services, and B2B integration outsourcing.

With the introduction of E2open 7.0 in June 2009, E2open has built upon its strong track record of delivering large-scale, international B2B projects by continuing to develop its offering across these five capabilities and others. E2open’s advanced technology and proven business process management platform work together to ensure highly secure and scalable communications among trading partner communities, increasing visibility, collaboration, and control across multiple tiers of network partners. Specifically, E2open’s IaaS-based, integration platform offers rapid partner onboarding and a low total cost of ownership, and is designed to ensure data accuracy and timeliness. E2open also offers pre-built integrations to its global network of more than 75,000 trading partners, the largest global trading partner network in the world.

As another significant development in 2009, E2open announced an alliance with Oracle in November, becoming the connectivity solution for Oracle® Transportation Management (OTM).
