Global Key Tek Reaches Security Certification Milestone
Posted on: Tuesday, 19 July 2005, 18:00 CDT
Global Key Tek, LLC announced today that Encryptis(TM), a breakthrough in security software, has been accepted for review by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) http://csrc.nist.gov/cryptval/140PreVal.pdf. NIST provides formal approval of the core encryption technology, leading to the FIPS 140-2 validation. The FIPS (Federal Information Processing Standards) analysis is to ensure that computer security applications meet established standards for use by industry and government agencies.
The review and validation process follows a rigorous assessment by Atlan Labs, a DC-area firm approved for pre-submission activities by NIST. The Encryptis(TM) security architecture offers a significantly improved method of protecting sensitive computer files, electronic communications, and backups of private client data. Products based on Encryptis require no servers and offer unmatched ease of installation, operation and maintenance.
Keith Bedsole, President of Global Key Tek said the development of Encryptis and its core product line is ahead of schedule. "Once we achieve full certification, we will immediately offer Cryptivex to a number of customers and vendors. We are confident that our breakthrough in security architecture will prove beneficial for our customers and reseller channels," Bedsole said. The Cryptivex(TM) Desktop products, based on the Encryptis(TM) architecture, will be released for market first, with Enterprise Tools to follow in the early fall.
Global Key Tek provides enterprise data and communications security software ranging from simple peer-to-peer applications to fully customized solutions for complex enterprise systems. The company's leading edge technology and accompanying services provide improved digital security for a broad range of industries. www.globalkeytek.com.
