Booz Allen Hamilton Senior Vice President John A. Thomas Has Been Elected the Future Leader of the International Council of Systems Engineering (INCOSE) to Fulfill a Vision of Growth and Recognition for the Systems Engineering Profession
MCLEAN, Va., Dec. 16 /PRNewswire/ — The members of the International Council of Systems Engineering (INCOSE) have elected Booz Allen Hamilton Senior Vice President John A. Thomas to serve as its future leader. Mr. Thomas was elected “President-elect” to succeed the president in two years time. This is the first time a candidate from Booz Allen has been nominated to lead the prestigious 7,000-member systems engineering organization, which serves as the collective voice for members of the profession worldwide.
Mr. Thomas has pledged to help expand the organization’s membership base, position system engineering professionals as leaders in system development projects, gain greater recognition among system development managers for the roles system engineering professionals fulfill on teams, and overall, demonstrate the value of system engineering to the success of large, complex projects.
Booz Allen, a strategy and technology consulting firm, has nearly 200 staff that are members of INCOSE, many of whom serve in leadership at the local chapter level and within the organization’s working groups.
