Ceske Drahy Wants to Revitalize Railway Stations
Ceske drahy (CD) (Prague, Czech Republic), Czech Railways, wants to revitalize a total of more than 60 railway station buildings including their surroundings from 2005. A part of the project is the revitalization of the main railway station in Karlovy Vary and Marianske Lazne, both the Czech Republic, in co-operation with GrandiStazioni (Italy) and the projects of the reconstruction of the railway stations Prague-Smichov and Masarykovo Nadrazi, which is being prepared in co-operation with other firms. Total costs on the projects should be several billions of Czech Crowns. CD will participate in the projects with partners chosen within tenders. Then, they will rent the buildings for a long-term period or they will operate them with CD within joint ventures.
