Xbridge Systems to Highlight New SQL Server Capabilities at SHARE

Posted on: Monday, 4 August 2003, 06:00 CDT

LOS GATOS, CA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- 08/04/2003 -- Xbridge Systems, the authority on mainframe data access, will demonstrate real-time Windows-to-mainframe data access at the SHARE Conference, August 11 to 15. The Washington, D.C. event (booth 421, Marriott Wardman Park Hotel) will be the first public demonstration of Xbridge’s support for Microsoft’s SQL Server as a data source.

Xbridge Host Data Connect™ enables Windows®, Web and mobile applications to quickly and securely access corporate data in System/390® and z/OS™ mainframes. The most robust, cost-effective and easiest-to-use product of its kind, Host Data Connect enables users to access virtually all mainframe data (VSAM, QSAM, DB2 and IMS) and to see that data in real time in Word, Excel and other standard desktop applications.

Xbridge recently announced its support for SQL Server. Xbridge Host Data Connect can now integrate mainframe and SQL Server data in one report, enhancing the software’s Enterprise Information Integration (EII) capabilities. Additionally, the company will demonstrate its new Results Cache, which enables users to easily store fixed mainframe data in SQL Server, giving them access to needed information while offloading demands on the mainframe.
