PeopleMatter Launches With HR Experts at the Helm
CHARLESTON, S.C. and CHICAGO, May 21 /PRNewswire/ – PeopleMatter, an emerging software company that provides end-to-end strategic human resource software solutions for small to medium-sized restaurant, hospitality, transportation and convenience stores (c-stores), officially launched today at the annual National Restaurant Association conference in Chicago. The company has been in development throughout the first quarter of 2010, after acquiring Acadia Human Capital Solutions in late 2009.
“After an initial strategic development period and successful customer trials, we are ecstatic to announce we are ready to hit four large and very fast growing markets, the restaurant, hospitality, transportation and c-store verticals, with an impressive management team and great product portfolio,” Nate DaPore, president and chief executive officer of PeopleMatter. “Philosophically, we are passionate about helping our clients make their employees matter in the workplace and manage every stage of their career. Fundamentally, we want to change the way employers and employees interact with one another in the workplace. Up until now, a cost effective system to quickly hire, grow and retain employees was simply beyond the reach of many small to mid-sized employers. We’re bringing these businesses a powerful software solution that was previously only available to the Fortune 500. With our products, employers can ultimately lower turnover rates, increase employee morale and engagement while capturing significant operational efficiencies.”
The PeopleMatter software suite will offer a complete end-to-end strategic HR solution, specifically designed for ease-of-use among employees with a simple yet intuitive interface. The company’s current onboarding, learning and performance management modules help employers successfully evaluate, hire, train, review and continually motivate their workforce. Future modules will be announced in the coming months.
PeopleMatter also has secured an executive team with an impressive pedigree. Members of PeopleMatter’s management team include:
- Nate DaPore, president and CEO: DaPore began his rise to leadership in the strategic human resources space in 2001 when he joined Benefitfocus, a Web-based software company which provides employers, health carriers and consumers a single platform for employee benefit shopping. DaPore was instrumental in the unprecedented growth and success of the company.
- Tami Olheiser, vice president of finance and administration: Olheiser has sixteen years of finance and human resources experience with leading technology companies. Previous positions include key roles with Microsoft, Great Plains, IA Systems and US Unwired.
- Ken Haigh, senior vice president of technology: Haigh brings over 16 years of experience to the PeopleMatter team and most recently served as director of software development at Blackbaud, Inc. where he led an 85-person staff responsible for the design, engineering and quality assurance activities of Blackbaud Enterprise CRM, The Raiser’s Edge, NetSolutions and ResearchPoint. He also was formerly a software engineering manager at Intellisync Corporation responsible for a team of engineers developing wireless email and mobile software.
“Our team is well positioned to create game-changing products designed to address all major employment issues small and midsized business owners face. One of those issues many employers continue to overlook is the ‘generational shift’ underway in the workplace today. Employers need to learn to meet the unique needs of today’s younger workforce, which have very different needs around communication and motivation than the previous generation did. These needs, if unmet, result in higher turnover rates and more costs to owners in tight margin businesses. Our systems meet the generational needs, automate many paper based processes, and help to retain the new mainstream workforce resulting in higher profits for our customers and happier employees. We’re changing the workplace and making people matter,” said DaPore.
PeopleMatter offers small to mid-sized employers in the restaurant, hospitality, transportation, and convenience store verticals easy-to-use, end-to-end strategic human resource software solutions to help manage employees at every stage of their career. Its powerful, flexible tools streamline hiring, on boarding, training, performance review, succession planning, scheduling, and compensation supported by an ongoing social networking and communication layer of tools. The privately-held company’s products and services help companies navigate today’s unique, modern HR needs in an efficient, effective way, allowing them to adapt to changes in employees’ needs, ultimately attracting the best talent and retaining them long-term.
