SOPHIA-ANTIPOLIS, France, Nov. 19 /PRNewswire/ -- Metrix Systems S.A., the leading provider of client systems management (CSM) solutions, today announced that Air France has selected Vision64 version 5 as its corporate standard for all desktop and laptop systems management. Air France will utilize the new CSM solution to identify and support software running on employees' computers while automatically distributing new software upgrades -. including virus patches -. to almost 35,000 PCs located across 250 sites worldwide.
Since 1998, Air France has been relying on Vision64 to maintain detailed inventories of its hardware and software assets, to implement software distribution across all client systems, to ensure precise system configuration, and to control and support its remote clients. The airline recently conducted a review of all applicable vendor offerings and once again, selected Vision64 based on its enhanced support for remote end users and ability to ensure a more secure and reliable network, which is critical for all aspects of its business.
"With a highly distributed and complex IT network, Air France continues to rely on Vision64 to deliver a comprehensive overview of our network assets and to ensure optimal systems performance," said Dominique Cassan, IT Manager, Air France. "Air France selected Vision64 version 5 as a result of its more open architecture, the ease of its administration and deployment, and its ability to help ensure a secure and reliable network environment."
"Air France's commitment to Metrix Systems underscores their confidence in Vision64 and validates our product evolution for version 5," explains Philippe Mediavilla, CEO of Metrix Systems. "The ability to automate systems management is critical when dealing with such a large and diverse IT infrastructure.
