Text of report by Iranian radio on 28 July
The highway patrol has announced that the Neyshabur-Mashhad main road will be closed until further notice.
According to our reporter, commuters are currently using village roads between Mashhad and Neyshabur. Police forces closed the main road between Mashhad and Neyshabur in order to maintain calm, following the protest by a number of citizens in Kharveyn, Razavi Khorasan Province, today.
The protest is against the arrest of two people who provoked another protest five days ago. The protesters originally objected to Kharveyn's not becoming the local administrative centre.
