Tired of Seeing Smarts in News

Am I the only one tired of seeing Ed Smart’s face plastered across the newspaper? Over a full year has passed since Elizabeth has come home, and he gets the younger daughter on a TV show to tell her story? Haven’t we heard the story countless times already? We are all happy that Elizabeth has been reunited with her family to resume a “normal” life. This normal life has meant appearances on network TV shows, on stage playing her harp and the usual magazine stories.

Please don’t tell me that Mr. Smart is doing this to help educate families about what to do in case they are approached by strangers. Kids have been taught and will continue to be taught by parents and teachers.

Mr. Smart, please do us all a favor and do what you promised us you would do when Elizabeth came home: Get back to normal.
