NTT Com to Expand Arcstar Global IP-VPN in Europe

October 13, 2010

TOKYO, Oct. 13 /PRNewswire/ — NTT Communications (NTT Com) announced on October 13 it will expand its Arcstar (TM) Global IP-VPN service in Europe by launching new points of presence (POPs) in Hamburg, Madrid, Munich, Stockholm and Warsaw through its subsidiary NTT Europe.

Applications will be accepted in Madrid and Stockholm from October 13 and in Hamburg, Munich and Warsaw from mid-November.

NTT Com has been offering network services to enterprise customers in Spain, Sweden and Poland through partnership with local companies. The launch of POPs in these countries’ capitals, Madrid, Stockholm and Warsaw, will enable NTT Europe to enhance the quality and cost of its services for enterprises in and around these cities.

In Germany, the new POPs in Munich and Hamburg will join existing POPs in Dusseldorf and Frankfurt.

“These new POPs extend NTT Com’s presence in some important areas in Europe,” said Masaaki Moribayashi, Managing Director of NTT Europe. “We see the demand for data connectivity on a global scale continuing to grow as businesses are turning around in 2010. This announcement shows further commitment to network quality and driving costs down for our customers.”

NTT Com’s Arcstar Global IP-VPN, a managed network service for enterprise customers, is currently available in 159 countries worldwide.
