Posted on: Monday, 1 August 2005, 12:01 CDT

FORT WORTH, Texas, Aug. 1 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- It's simple, fast and smarter than ever to book cargo shipments online, now that American Airlines has unveiled the latest in its suite of online productivity tools on http://www.aacargo.com/ . Now customers with blocked-space allocations or pre- booking arrangements can load up to 60 days of advance air waybills in a simple online operation. When the booking window opens, the advance air waybills are booked automatically.

"Our customers requested this new functionality to allow online booking of their blocked-space allocations," said Dave Brooks - President of AA Cargo. "Tools such as this are increasingly important as our industry moves toward a paperless environment, and the mandate for increased productivity grows for both the customer and carrier. We are very pleased today to introduce our latest online tool designed to make it easy to do business with American."

Customers can book all of American's cargo products using the new tool, including Expeditefs(SM) which offers boarding priority, quicker hub connections and a 100% money-back guarantee that the shipment will be flown on the flight for which it was booked.

To utilize the new booking enhancement, customers must have an agreement for blocked-space allocations or pre-bookings already in place, and have online booking access. For more information contact an American Airlines Cargo sales office, or visit online at http://www.aacargo.com/ .
