Bill DeLong Joins Progress Software As Vice President of Woldwide Customer Services and Operations

Progress Software Corporation (Nasdaq: PRGS), a global supplier of application infrastructure software used to develop, deploy, integrate and manage business applications, today announced that Bill DeLong has been named vice president of worldwide customer services and operations for its OpenEdge Division. DeLong is responsible for all customer experience related activities with a special emphasis on enhancing the value of PSC's service offerings to achieve the highest level of application partner and end-user customer satisfaction.

Prior to joining Progress, DeLong was director of services for Dell's Corporate Business Group, where he was responsible for services delivery and services sales to Dell's top 2,500 corporate and global customers. While at Dell, DeLong delivered outstanding results by expanding the company's rapidly growing managed services offering. Additionally, DeLong was in charge of worldwide customer satisfaction, technical support and executive relationship management while serving as vice president of worldwide technical support and services at Candle Corporation, a leading systems management software company. DeLong also held a number of executive and management roles during an 18-year tenure at IBM.
