Anthony Bettencourt Named Coverity CEO and Chairman of the Board
SAN FRANCISCO, Nov. 22, 2010 /PRNewswire/ — Coverity, the software integrity leader, today announced Anthony Bettencourt as chief executive officer, president and chairman of the board. Seth Hallem, Coverity founder and CEO, will serve on the board of directors and as a strategy and technology advisor to Bettencourt and the company.
Anthony Bettencourt has over twenty-five years of experience building fast-growth, market leading technology companies. Prior to Coverity, Bettencourt served as the chief executive officer of Verity Inc., a leader in enterprise search, and led the company through its acquisition by Autonomy Corp. plc in 2005. After which, Bettencourt served successively as the CEO of Autonomy, Inc, CEO of Autonomy ZANTAZ and the CEO of Autonomy Interwoven through 2009.
Bettencourt currently serves as the non-executive chairman of the board of directors of Blinkx, Inc., an Internet video search engine and also serves on the board of directors of CrownPeak, NetBase Solutions, and Next Page.
