CCA International's Web Site Conforms to Americans With Disabilities Act for the Visually Impaired

Posted on: Wednesday, 3 August 2005, 09:00 CDT

CHICAGO, Aug. 3 /PRNewswire/ -- CCA International is proud to announce that it has among the first privately held company Web sites to conform to Section 508a of the Americans with Disabilities Act for the visually impaired.

"My sales and marketing career began in 1973 with the Individualized Educational Services Group of Control Data Corporation, which grew out of the Programmed Logic for Automatic Teaching Operation (PLATO) project at the University of Illinois at Champaign," said Charles Dreher, founding Partner and CEO of CCA International.

He added, "When I was first introduced to PLATO's touch-sensitive screen, I remember reflecting on the words I heard Senator Robert F. Kennedy speak: 'Some men see things as they are and ask why. I dream of things that never were and ask: Why not?'"

Dreher continued, "It is 32 years later and we are beginning to self- actualize our dreams to help humankind and in particular the global entrepreneurial community achieve their capital-raising needs through the use of computer-based education and our patent-pending Financial Architect(R) System. The software template system provides the tools necessary for every privately held business owner to raise capital from accredited angel investors by teaching them how to create and use a private placement memorandum (securities offering document).

"We believed it was vital to also design our Web site for the requirements of those individuals who have the desire and ability to achieve but need a little extra help from their friends. Lastly, the compelling reason we made the decision to implement this capability was based on the words best expressed by Tim Berners-Lee, W3C director and inventor of the World Wide Web: 'The power of the Web is in its universality. Access by everyone regardless of disability is an essential aspect.'"

Every entrepreneur who visits the Web sites http://www.ccaintl.co.uk/ or http://www.ccaintl.com/ can download a complimentary copy of the e-book entitled "Raising Capital for Start-Up and Early Stage Companies: The Secrets of Wall Street." Once a business owner has read the e-book, he or she will be able to make an informed decision as to whether the Financial Architect(R) System is right for their company's capital-raising needs.

In addition, for those who like CCA International's Macromedia Flash Web site, it was built using a ready-made template that cost $64. CCA International is now making more than 5,500 different templates available for purchase on its Web site listed under the "resources" menu through the CCA International Web Site development division.
