7 Britons Escape Canada Air Crash

SEVEN Britons were among the 297 passengers who survived when a plane burst into flames after skidding off the end of the runway in bad weather at Toronto airport.
Air France said today that 22 of the passengers on its Airbus A340 suffered minor injuries but it is not known if any of the Britons were hurt. Passengers on board the plane, which had flown to Canada from Paris, today described the panic and confusion as people tried desperately to get clear from the aircraft.
