Text of report by Danish radio website on 3 August; subheading as published:
Kaj Vilhemsen, who owns Copenhagen local radio station Radio Holger, is now being charged with racism.
Radio Holger has encouraged its listeners to drive all Muslims out of Europe and if necessary kill Muslims.
"Kaj Vilhemsen admits having made these remarks, but denies he is guilty of racism. Whether his comments contravene the racism provisions of the criminal code will therefore have to be decided in court," says Detective Inspector Ove Dahl of the Copenhagen Police.
Government silent
Kamal Qureshi of the Socialist People's Party is puzzled by the government's silence in the Radio Holger case and has therefore asked Justice Minister Lene Espersen why this is and what the government intends to do to stamp out these kinds of death threats.
The Central Radio and Television Board has decided to consider the issue at its extraordinary meeting on 16 August. This may result in the local radio station losing its broadcasting licence.
