Thorburn Associates Principal Lisa Thorburn, LEED AP presented a session on “LEED Conflicts ““ The Impact Synergies Have on Good Design Practices and Acoustics” at HEALTHCARE DESIGN.10.
The presentation explored the ways that LEED synergies can affect those who work in the healthcare industry. Case studies provided the basis for discussion on everything from road noise and privacy to cooling systems and conferencing technology. Attendees learned about how LEED affects healthcare, discussed strategies to deal with obstacles and explored how to follow LEED directives without sacrificing comfort or safety.
Lisa gleaned information for the presentation from a variety of projects that Thorburn Associates has completed for the healthcare industry.

Thorburn presented the seminar at the HEALTCHARE DESIGN.10 conference in Las Vegas on November 14th. The conference is an educational and networking event focused on the delivery and discussion of innovations in healthcare facilities now and into the future.
