Answer Ten Questions about the Resort, Island and National Airline Over Five Weeks for a chance to Win a Five-Night Stay in French Polynesia and 2 Round Trip Tickets on Air Tahiti Nui

Moorea, French Polynesia (PRWEB) December 8, 2010

There’s no place better to unplug from this high tech world than the tropical paradise that is French Polynesia, but what about using electronic media to get there? The award-winning Hilton Moorea Lagoon Resort & Spa is celebrating its Tenth Anniversary by inviting the 500 million fans of Facebook to play the Tahiti Trivia 20-Ten game to be eligible to win a grand prize of a five-night stay at the resort, famous for its thatched roofed bungalows built over and around a crystal clear ten-acre lagoon in the South Pacific. And, Air Tahiti Nui, the national airline of French Polynesia, is providing two round-trip tickets from Los Angeles to Papeete for the winner.

In addition to the grand prize, Facebook fans will also have the opportunity to win weekly prizes ranging from a Universal Pictures Couple’s Retreat DVD (filmed in Tahiti) to special Tahitian gifts like vanilla beans, manoi oil, pareos (beach wraps) and even a Tahitian black pearl for the runner up.

The contest starts Monday 6 2010 — with the first of ten trivia questions being posted at 5:30 PST on the Hilton Moorea’s Facebook Page –and ends on Monday January 10, 2011. Subsequent questions will be posted every Monday and Thursday at the same time for the contest’s 5-week duration. All ten game questions will also be posted on the Air Tahiti Nui USA and Tahiti Tourism North America Facebook Pages. Players are invited to use the participating partners Websites to research each question and then submit their answers each week to a landing page available only to Fans of the Hilton Moorea. Weekly winners will be selected from all winning answers. At the end of the contest, one winner — who participated for the entire five weeks and answered each question correctly — will be selected at random for the grand prize. One winner and one runner up will be announced by 5:30 pm PST on Tuesday, January 11, 2011.

“So many of our guests tell us they waited for a special occasion to visit our island and that it is a dream come true for them,” explains Hilton Moorea General Manager, Olivier Larcher. “We thought we would use the special occasion of our Tenth Anniversary to invite people who gather on one of the most popular online destinations in the world to a fun way to make their tropical dreams come true and win a visit to our little Paradise.”

ABOUT THE HILTON MOOREA

Recipient of a 2010 Certificate of Excellence by Trip Advisor, the Hilton Moorea Lagoon Resort & Spa has long been a favorite of discerning world travelers. The resort’s $11 million renovation was completed last May with interiors of each of the 104 signature thatched roofed bungalow accommodations ““ whether overwater, beachfront or in the garden — re-imagined in a contemporary island motif. Each room has all new furnishings as well as 37″ flat screen T.V.’s with DVD players and iPod dock music systems. The resort update also includes the plunge pools on private decks in each of the resort’s 47 garden bungalows, 2 lavish, suite-sized Garden Bungalows.
