Savi Technology Names David Kranzler As Senior Vice President of Engineering

Savi Technology, Inc., a leading provider of RFID solutions for supply chain management and security, today announced the appointment of David Kranzler to Senior Vice President of Engineering. Kranzler will oversee Savi Technology's worldwide engineering organization, including application, middleware and hardware development as well as standards and patents teams.

Kranzler has two decades of executive management and engineering experience in delivering systems, software and semiconductor products to the data networking market. Prior to joining Savi Technology, he served as General Manager of the Security, Ethernet Switching and Broadband Processor lines of business at Broadcom (NASDAQ:BRCM), a global leader in wired and wireless broadband communications semiconductors. Kranzler managed the development and launch of numerous market-leading and award-winning products at Broadcom, driving revenue growth and profitability as well as dominant competitive positioning.

Before that, he held a variety of hardware design engineering and management positions at 3Com (NASDAQ:COMS), a leading provider of secure, converged voice and data networking solutions for enterprises of all sizes. He began his career as a hardware sustaining engineer at ROLM Corporation, an early provider of all-digital, computer-controlled telephone systems.

Kranzler is named as inventor on five U.S. patents in data communications and system design. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a Masters degree in Business Administration (MBA) from Santa Clara University.
