RecessionWreaths.com Launches New Sister Site – RecessionGiftBaskets.com

December 22, 2010

In 2010, they launched the wickedly funny & satirical web site http://www.RecessionWreaths.com. Now they’re back with a hilarious sequel http://www.RecessionGiftBaskets.com. How One Business is Learning How to Laugh Its Way Through This Awful Recession.

Saranac Lake, New York (Vocus/PRWEB) December 21, 2010

Almost one year ago, today, RecessionWreaths.com was launched in the Adirondack mountains of Upstate New York by a group of very funny (but disgruntled) real estate agents looking for a way to stay busy (employed)…and make people laugh!

Now this same group of wickedly funny survivors is back. And this time they’ve launched their comedic sequel http://www.RecessionGiftBaskets.com

“We had such a great response to our first web site, http://www.RecessionWreaths.com, that we knew we were on to something very funny. It just struck a chord with folks and it gave everybody something to laugh about, no matter how awful this economy was.” said Rob Grant. “And, lets face it, this recession isn’t going anywhere – in fact, its only gotten worse since we launched our first site 12 months ago.”

“That’s why our newest web site, RecessionGiftBaskets.com, has all the same thoughtful wisdom and holiday spirit that comes with a financial collapse and high unemployment”!

“So, for everyone who loved our first and very dry web site launched at the start of the Great Recession – http://www.RecessionWreaths.com You’ve got a real treat coming! Because you’re going to fall in love with our newest addition and sister site … http://www.RecessionGiftBaskets.com . Like RecessionWreaths.com , our newest site has all the thoughtful wisdom and holiday spirit that comes with a financial collapse and high unemployment! And what’s more, now you can send your friends, family and loved ones a Recession Gift Basket filled with the most exotic food groups collected from convenience stores around the globe (or, in our case, just around the corner).

We invite you to come celebrate the true spirit of the holidays during this Great Recession with our frugal line of Recession Gift Baskets featuring the very bottom of the food pyramid.

Yes, nothing says Happy Holidays like a colorful assortment of Spam, Spray Cheese, Beef Jerky, Peanut Butter & a loaf of (expired date) White bread…

And for those of you with no kitchens (or homes for that matter), these gift baskets also include a set of plastic knives… Just ask for our special ‘Foreclosure Edition’ Gift Basket (you don’t need an address to have these delivered)

And don’t forget about our hugely popular ‘Cut-Up Credit Card’ Wreaths

Like RecessionGiftBaskets, our first, and now hugely popular ‘Cut-Up Credit Card’ Wreath came about after a bunch of our agents pulled their useless credit cards out of their wallets and threw them into a pile. The inspiration to cut these cards up into an attractive snowflake pattern and glue them to a balsam wreath came later, like so many great ideas. The ‘Credit Card’ Wreath was quickly followed by another popular theme – The ‘Nothing Says You’re Fired! Pink Slip’ wreath adorned with pink termination slips from some of America’s largest Fortune 500 companies.

This was soon followed by our ‘Down On Your Luck – Scratch-Off Lotto Ticket’ Wreath decorated with hundreds of losing lotto tickets. This wreath required the cooperation of several hundred agents (all scratching in unison) in a desperate bid to reverse their fortunes.

Like so many great internet start-ups, http://www.RecessionWreaths.com and RecessionGiftBaskets.com are both powered by unbridled creative passion, coupled with no funding.

But we do have a sense of humor…

In 2010 and 2011 (and lets face it, for years to come), we invite you to come celebrate this Great Recession!

Our motto has always been…What doesn’t kill you, will make you significantly poorer.
