Poll: High-Speed Internet Is A Must Have

A recent poll conducted by Zogby International shows the technology most people cannot live without is high-speed internet.

1,950 U.S. adults were questioned in the online survey and 24% said high-speed internet had the greatest impact on their lives. Facebook followed behind with 22% and Google with 10%.

24% of the participants felt home entertainment would be the greatest technological advancement within the next year, while 16% said it would be in general computing.

When asked about plans for the next decade, 43% predicted there would be regular use of stem cells and cloning techniques to create human organs for transplant.

40% said robots would be able to perform manual labor jobs and the same percent of people said computer chips would be implanted in people to monitor their health.
