State Systems Inc. donates 100 smoke detectors to MIFA to commemorate Fire Prevention Week.

Memphis, TN (PRWEB) December 22, 2010

State Systems Inc. recently donated 100 smoke detectors to MIFA to commemorate Fire Prevention Week, which was Oct. 3 to 9, 2010. This year’s National Fire Prevention Week campaign was aimed toward educating people about the use of smoke detectors and encouraged everyone to make the necessary updates in order to maintain safety.

“In light of the recent outbreak of Memphis fires, we felt now was an appropriate time to make this kind of donation,” said Bob McBride, president and CEO of State Systems. “Smoke detectors can be the first warning of a fire. We think every home should have one, and we were thrilled to donate smoke detectors to MIFA.”

Mr. McBride, together with Tyler McBride, general manager of State Systems’ Fire Protection Division, presented the smoke detectors to staff at MIFA’s headquarters on Oct. 7, 2010. The smoke detectors will be installed in the homes of existing clients through the MIFA’s Handyman Program.
