Man on Bomb Call Hoax Raps

A MAN is due to appear in court this week on charges of making false bomb threats in phone calls to Dublin and Heathrow airports.
He is to be appear before the Dublin District Court where the case will either be heard or sent forward to the Circuit Court where he could face a five-year jail sentence.
Gardai traced the calls to a pub in Co Meath where the three calls were made more than two weeks ago claiming a bomb had been placed on a plane about to land.
A fourth call was later made referring to a flight from Barcelona to London.
The man in his 30s faces charges under section 12a of the Criminal Law Act which holds a maximum penalty of EUR635 at District Court level.
