ROLLS-ROYCE has landed a pounds 1.2billion order from NorthWest Airlines. The US carrier selected Rolls to make the engines for a new fleet of up to 36 Boeing 787 planes. The deal will help safeguard thousands of jobs at the firm’s factories in the Midlands.
