Newbury Park, CA (Vocus/PRWEB) January 24, 2011

Absolute Analysis, the worldwide leader in serial interface test solutions, today announced they will be showcasing their latest Serial RapidIO, InfiniBand, and CPRI serial test solutions at DesignCon, Booth #831, to be held in Santa Clara, CA on January 31st to February 3rd, 2011.

Absolute Analysis’ flagship product platform, InvestigatorTM, can use a single piece of hardware to support not only these 3 protocols, but many more, including Ethernet, Fibre Channel, FCoE, OBSAI, PCI Express, SATA, SAS, and many others, at speeds to 10 Gbps.

InvestigatorTM is the only serial tester that can report results across multiple protocols in a time correlated fashion. This means that designers who design with more than one protocol can view results across different protocol domains simultaneously, on a single clock, insuring the design is operating properly.

In order to thoroughly validate and verify the serial interface, Investigator TM provides multiple functions within the same hardware, including protocol analysis, traffic generation, impairment testing, error injection, and BER testing. Combine this with its multi-protocol support, the solution alleviates the need to purchase and maintain multiple test equipment hardware.

The Investigator TM will also interface into a device under test using a diverse range of methods, including SMA connectors, a mid-bus probe, and custom connectors. Once connected, external triggers will provide integration with logic analyzers and other external test equipment. This will solve one of the big dilemmas for designers needing to debug and test the serial interfaces for their chips, boards, or systems.

InvestigatorTM is available and shipping now.

About Absolute Analysis

Absolute Analysis develops test equipment that performs complete high speed serial bus verification and validation across standard protocols, custom or proprietary protocols, and mixed protocol environments. Protocol support includes Serial RapidIO, PCI Express, Ethernet up to 10 Gbps, and many others. Their flagship InvestigatorTM platform contains functions for full interoperability and compliance testing, consisting of protocol analysis, traffic generation, BER testing, error injection, and impairment testing. All verification is accomplished via a single piece of hardware, and a single user interface, saving customers both time and money. The company recently announced full backplane to network protocol validation capabilities, making Investigator the world’s only platform to handle full system protocol validation.
