CheckPoints Application Taps Robert Longo as SVP of Sales
Longo brings over 25 years of CPG experience to the fast-growing shopping app

CheckPoints LLC today announces that Robert Longo will join the growing startup as Senior Vice President of Sales. The CheckPoints mobile shopping app, available on both iPhone and Android phones, has been downloaded over 500k times since it launched in October 2010, with over 600k in-store product scans.
Longo will lead the CheckPoints’ effort to educate brands about the app. CheckPoints drives shoppers to pick up and interact with products in over a million stores in the US. Each time a consumer interacts with a product, they can receive relevant coupons, recipes, or games to build brand and increase likelihood to purchase. Current partners include Belkin, Seventh Generation, Tyson Foods, Kmart and others.

Longo previously served as SVP for the Marketing Corporation of America’s NCC coupon division, where his team grew coupon media sales 50% in one year, before being acquired by Valassis Communications. Longo then spent ten years at Valassis, where he led the Western Division, growing sales from $60 million to $126 million, and saw the company execute a successful IPO.
Longo has previously managed a portfolio of key brands at Procter & Gamble, Carnation Company (now Nestlé), and John Blair Marketing, Inc.
