PALO ALTO, Calif., Aug. 8 /PRNewswire/ -- Fortify Software Inc., a leading provider of software security products, was selected as "The Next Big Thing" at the Sand Hill Group's eighth annual Enterprise 2005 conference due to its innovative approach to software security. The designation is given to five companies, including Fortify Software, who will then participate in a panel discussion and deliver presentations on their company vision and plan.
The Enterprise 2005 conference held August 7-9 in Carmel, California brings together nearly 200 technology CEOs and other industry thought leaders to share ideas and discuss strategic issues of interest in technology.
"The Next Big Thing recognizes up-and-coming companies that have an original, proven technology and a sound business model that is poised for high growth," said M.R. Rangaswami, co-founder of Sand Hill Group and the Enterprise conference. "Fortify impressed me with their innovative answer to an ever-growing need for more secure software, as well as their stellar roster of customers."
"With high profile security breaches making daily headlines, companies are turning to companies like Fortify to tackle urgent security threats at the root -- the software layer -- to vaccinate applications from hackers, malicious insiders, viruses and more," said John M. Jack, CEO at Fortify. "Being chosen as a Next Big Thing company demonstrates the market acceptance of our product and approach; we're honored to be recognized."
