Ride-Away of Gray, ME has been awarded the coveted Ralph Braun Signature Award for Customer Satisfaction

Gray, ME (Vocus/PRWEB) March 10, 2011

The Braun Corporation, the leading manufacturer of wheelchair accessible vehicles and wheelchair lift systems, recently honored Ride-Away of Gray, ME with the Ralph Braun Signature Award for Customer Satisfaction. Six BraunAbility dealerships, one from each of the company’s sales regions, were honored with the Ralph Braun Signature Award, recognizing outstanding customer service based on customer satisfaction survey results from 2010. This award is presented to dealers who earned the highest average CSI score in the Northeast Region, and the Maine team received an average score of 97.5%.

Ride-Away of Maine, the leading provider of wheelchair vans in Maine, has been delivering freedom to individuals with disabilities since 2003. Ride-Away employees come to work each day dedicated, not only to providing the best wheelchair accessible vehicles but also committed to enriching the quality of life in their communities. Whether it’s getting involved with a local non-profit organization, running a relay to fight Multiple Sclerosis or joining in a wide range of community activities, that dedication to serve has always been the benchmark for Ride-Away of Maine and its employees.

“Improving the lives of others and taking an active role in the community is vitally important,” says Ride-Away Vice President, Jaime Kuczewski. “The employees at our Gray, ME facility know that providing the highest quality mobility products and customer service to our clients is what Ride-Away has consistently been known for, and they don’t just preach it; they live it day in, day out, and I am exceptionally proud that they have received this prestigious award.”

The employees at Ride-Away’s Maine location were honored for their work during a ceremony at the Disability Rights Center (DRC) of Maine’s 10th Annual Membership Dinner on October 15, 2010. They were the recipient of the DRC’s Annual Business Award, which recognizes a local company that goes above and beyond to better the lives of people with disabilities. The Ride-Away of Maine team uses years of experience in the vehicle modification industry and their willingness to go the extra mile to make sure customers are given the highest level of satisfaction and customer service, to make the lives of the people and families within their community better. Customers regularly write to Ride-Away of Gray to express their gratitude in unsolicited letters to the employees there.

One loyal customer from Old Orchard Beach, ME wrote to Ride-Away to let them know that the company had given her and her husband their lives back. As a result of an auto accident, her husband has been unable to stand or walk and is a permanent resident at the Maine Veterans’ Home in Scarborough. Except for visits home by ambulance transportation, he was not able to experience life as the couple once knew it. Going out to eat, going to a friend or family member’s house, or just simply going out for a Sunday drive whenever they wanted to, suddenly became a daunting task. The freedom that they once enjoyed was no longer available, until they found Ride-Away and were able to get their freedom back. This customer did some online research and thought about buying a wheelchair accessible van from another mobility dealer, however, when the couple heard about Ride-Away’s excellent customer service from people and organizations that were already customers of Ride-Away’s, they knew that that was the deciding factor in their decision. “Last week Ride-Away gave my husband and I our lives back. We have already been out to dinner in our new van and will go out again on Sunday. We are so overjoyed at having part of our lives restored and we thank Ride-Away.”

Mobility Consultants do their very best to accommodate the needs of customers’ requests whenever they have the opportunity to do so. One time, a customer that had purchased a Ford wheelchair conversion van from the Gray location had to bring the vehicle in for operational maintenance on short notice. While they were on their way to Ride-Away’s Gray location (about three hours away), the customer called a mobility consultant, and explained that they were on a tight schedule and wanted to come in for service right away. The mobility consultant told them to come right over and they would get them in. When they arrived at Ride-Away the shop was completely full, however, the technicians made sure to get them in since they were in a unique situation. The technicians worked through their lunch and knew that in order to get this vehicle serviced that they would have to stay late to make sure that their other customers’ needs were met on time. After only a short while, the van was ready to get back on the road. “From day one we were treated by very professional people. We were very impressed with the facility and the amount of professionalism and positive attitude displayed by your people! We would highly recommend your facility to anyone. We have used Ride-Away [many times] and [you] have always treated us the same. We are thankful for such a great place to go for service.”

Providing excellent customer service not only requires Mobility Consultants to meet the needs of Ride-Away’s clients, but it also requires them to provide their clients with the most options for mobility products as well. Ride-Away of Maine has introduced many new and innovative mobility products over the past year, including the GoShichi Wheelchair Accessible Pick-Up Truck, the Mobility Conquest Wheelchair Accessible Motorcycle, and the most revolutionary driving control products from Guidosimplex. These ground-breaking products have given clients more options, and more freedom to go where they want to go, when they want to. As the leader in providing the finest mobility equipment options in Maine, Ride-Away knows that in order to remain at the forefront in the mobility industry, they must continue to offer innovative and ground-breaking products to their clients.

“We believe that our commitment to provide our clients with exceptional service is what separates us from our competition,” says Mark Lore, Ride-Away President/CEO. “Our Maine location has received hundreds of unsolicited customer testimonials over the years, and this customer feedback is truly what we live for! The commitment and dedication to our customers that our team in Maine has shown over the years is truly remarkable, and it proves that they all are very deserving of this award.”

“Our company needs to rely on their dealers to provide a sales and service experience that addresses their unique need,” says Braun President Nick Gutwein. “These dealers have demonstrated outstanding care for their customers. ABOUT THE BRAUN CORPORATION:

The Braun Corporation is the world’s leading manufacturer of wheelchair accessible vans, ramps, and wheelchair lift systems. These products enable persons with physical disabilities to regain mobility and lead active and independent lives. The Indiana-based company was founded by Ralph Braun, who was diagnosed with spinal muscular atrophy at a young age and unable to walk by age 15. Ralph was motivated by his disability to invent the world’s first electric scooter (the Tri-Wheeler) and wheelchair lift (the Lift-A-Way) in his parents’ garage. Word spread and demand for the product increased, resulting in the birth of Save-A-Step Manufacturing, which ultimately became The Braun Corporation. The company, via the BraunAbility brand, offers the most diverse model lineup in the industry, including the most popular minivan models from Dodge, Chrysler, Honda, and Toyota.
