KROHNE Announces New Leak Detection Vodcast

March 30, 2011

The new video explains how to select the right leak detection system for a particular application

Peabody, MA (PRWEB) March 28, 2011

KROHNE, Inc., a global technology leader in the development, manufacture and distribution of accurate, reliable and cost effective measuring instruments for the process industries, announces the availability of a new vodcast about leak detection strategies. The video, which explains how to select the right leak detection system for a particular application, can be found here.

The vodcast features Joe Incontri, the Director of Marketing, KROHNE North America. He describes different leak detection systems and details the factors engineers should take into consideration when selecting one. For example, he highlights Extended Real Time Transient Model leak detection systems, explaining why they are more effective than traditional systems.

The vodcast details why leak detection systems have become increasingly significant in recent years. As Joe explains in the video, “Leak detection systems have taken on greater and greater importance in response to regulatory concerns and also because pipeline operators generally want to enhance productivity and system reliability.”

In addition, the vodcast describes the benefits of KROHNE’s pipeline leak detection and localization system, including its extremely fast response time and zero false alarm method. The system can track the location of a leak to within 100 yards of a 6 mile pipeline.
