Tampa, Florida (Vocus/PRWEB) March 31, 2011

MarkleyWorks, LLC today announced the release of LightWize Owl for Students, a version of LightWize Owl specifically created to help students organize their complex lives and achieve their goals in the world of academia. The new version contains all the components of the original Owl and features new modules for tracking classes and assignments.

The Owl, which is a Windows-based personal organization system, provides an environment in which a complete array of life skills can be honed. Users of the Owl develop the ability to plan, schedule, prioritize, and stay on track with commitments. They learn to formulate an overall life strategy, and they gain the power to reduce stress through knowing that all responsibilities and commitments have been captured and incorporated into that strategy. They also begin to identify important events and historical information and archive them in such a way that maximum future benefit can be derived through minimum retrieval effort.

Users will find they have an increased ability to think creatively and develop insightful solutions to information management and day-to-day organizational issues, a skill especially helpful to students. Also helpful to students (and their parents!) will be a new focus on how to establish and manage a budget through both short-term and long-term financial tracking. And, along with the efficiency that comes with avoiding duplication of work and repetitively searching for the same pieces of information, students will learn to be more effective, more productive, and better positioned to achieve their goals.

“We see a whole series of advantages tied directly to the new LightWize Owl Student package,” said Ross Markley, Technical Director of MarkleyWorks. “First, it retains all the original components and functionality of the LightWize Owl, so again it’s a product that will impart critical life skills and last a lifetime. Second, even though it’s obviously a perfect graduation gift for high school seniors, it is also a terrific tool for any student of any age at any phase of his or her academic career. We can envision children in grade school setting up LightWize Owl and using it to track and manage their education experience on a virtually life-long basis. Finally, we believe this is a great antidote to the twin syndromes of “Ëœfailure to launch’ and “Ëœaddiction to empty entertainment gadgets’ which affect such a large percentage of today’s youth.”

The added modules of LightWize Owl Student, “Classes” and “Assignments,” will enable the student to achieve the ultimate in organizing class schedules, assignment due dates, prioritization of academic pursuits, and tracking of details and progress on all ongoing (and completed) assignments and classes.

According to Dale Markley, Business Director of MarkleyWorks, “We’re aware that many schools already have automated systems for parts of the total picture. The advantage of Owl Student is that it is can be easily molded to the individual’s preferences, and it will integrate school activity information with the information associated with all other activities of the individual. It will also be an active and useful archive of information and reports throughout the remainder of a student’s life.”
