The ATOM 1024 (http://www.ircores.com) is the first commercially available uncooled XGA camera available today. Incorporating ULIS’s advanced silicon microbolometer technology, the ATOM 1024 is a true high definition (XGA format) thermal imaging camera specially designed for delivering high resolution images and optimal thermal sensitivity for use in a wide variety of applications.
Because it is based on a large 1024 x 768 microbolometer detector array, the camera delivers a significant improvement in image resolution and detection range. Thanks to the use of the new 17 micron pixel pitch technology microbolometer detector arrays, the array size is quite similar to existing 25 micron pitch VGA systems despite the use of two and a half times increase in the number of pixels.
