Cisco Systems and NASDAQ executives celebrate the first ever virtual opening of the NASDAQ Stock Market. Made possible by Cisco networking technology, today's event marks the first time in NASDAQ's 34-year history that the ringing of the celebratory bell has occurred outside of New York City. NASDAQ's Times Square MarketSite video wall was recreated 2,500 miles away in Silicon Valley for today's opening and closing bell ceremonies, to celebrate Cisco's 20th anniversary year.
