Study Clarifies Promotional Value of Logo Golf Balls as Business Gifts
A recent study evaluating the promotional value of golf balls as gifts in the corporate world reveals interesting results. The study was commissioned on the part of http://www.golfbox.com.
Brea, CA (PRWEB) May 08, 2011
The study conducted by Klein Consulting reveals that the promotional value of the packaging far outweighs a simple logo on the ball.
When imprinted logo golf balls are combined with a package that promotes the customer paying for the promotion, much more return on investment becomes possible.
“What we found is that a carefully crafted package design creates interest in the customer and when the design is created with a valuable reason to either save the package or call the gift giver, the promotional value becomes real. Conversely, when there is just a logo on a ball and it is packaged in packaging that only talks about the brand of ball, nearly all the promotion value goes to the golf ball manufacturer,” says Jim Klein, the owner of Klein Consulting.
The study was conducted over a 6 month time frame using purchasers of generic packaged logo golf balls and custom packaged logo golf balls. ” I can’t believe the difference” says Frank Pillarella, owner of Preferred Auto Body in Orange California. Preferred had purchased logo golf balls from a retail golf shop. “They just went out, no response or thank you or anything. Once we created our custom package, we were able to show off our capabilities and photos of our work. What we didn’t realize is how our staff took pride in the package and this alone made a much more effective marketing tool.”
“It really makes sense when you think about it,” says Greg Haxton of http://www.Golfbox.com. “Hiding the logo behind a package that does not promote the gift giver is kind of like putting a logo on the inside of a hat. Our customers have known this for years and confirm this to us everyday. That is why we offer custom packages in 9 different variations with a vast selection of different brands of golf balls. We are so committed to this concept we offer faster turnaround times than any other source and they don’t even offer the packaging concepts we do.”
Founded in 1996, Golfbox.com is considered the industry leader in logo golf ball promotions. The company is the one of the oldest companies selling logo golf balls on the internet.
